Do Pagid Blacks (RS14) groove your rotors?

Actually the opposite. The hills and valleys would increase the surface area for pad to rotor contact and would be better (marginally) than a glassy smooth surface.

i think the rust in the center of the rotor is a big problem - maybe even causing u all your brake issues..some how da rust is gettin in your brake lines causin u all dhose stains.... i think if u flush with warm water it will help !
A nice coat of some of that left over yella or orange paint u got der in da garage woulda done some wondas !

That looks like very normal wear. It looks like you use OEM Zimmerman rotors. I would rec. that you try factory Porsche rotors. I think you will find that you get better performance with the factory Porsche rotors. Pagid blacks RS-14 are excellent pads. They are a bit more agressive on rotors than the RS-19/29, but I really like the "bite" that they give. They are very easy to modulate.

I believe Zimmerman makes the factory part as well as the OEM part. Most people will tell you that the OEM rotor is the exact same as the factory rotor minus the grey paint on the hat, and the mark up. That is the case with alot of factory/OEM parts. My experience has been that the factory rotors are of better quality. I don't know if the spec on the metal is used is different or it is just because of the tolerences on the rotors are different.

I have slight grooving on my front rotors (Brembo) using the RS-14 pad. My rears (930 OEM) are smooth. I had also used the PFC, and although they didn't groove the rotor, I didn't find they has a good initial bite as the RS-14 and overall rotor wear was higher.

Yeah, i'll run these out in the rear and just put my PF97's back in. They did what they were supposed to do at the Glen race so I can't complain.. what rotors ARE you running now or does EVERYTHING suck?

Understood. I wasn't concerned really but found it odd that they looked like that after so little use having run PF97's for 3 years now and never seeing that kind of wear. It looks like my Austin Healy 3000 after I ran it metal to metal for a bit back in the 70's...
