My rig is is less than 5000lbs so the 9800lb Armada tow rating works great. Just towed from New Orleans to Cincinnati and back and got 14 mpg doing 70-75mph the entire way on 87octane regular.

You need to take a ride in my (or anyones) 3/4 ton Siverado LT(3?). I can assure you the ride is quite pleasurable and not the slightest bit harsh.

3/4 ton trucks have come a long way in the ride department. They ride better than 1/2 ton trucks did some years ago.

I've been in one recently and it was still way stiffer than a 1/2 ton platform. I'm guessing you've never rode through the streets of New Orleans? A 3/4 ton vehicle will beat the living crap out of you on those roads. Not hating on your truck at all, I grew up on a farm and know the difference of the 1/2 vs 3/4 ton very well. For a REAL work truck 3/4 ton or better is mandatory however there are some great 1/2 ton platforms out now that can work and be nice drivers too.

This is for the D.E. that is concurrent with the Zone 2 Club Race at VIR August 8-10. We will have one advanced solo/instructor level run group (read black/red) and will have ten runs throughout the weekend.
Don-
Serious question... Will the racers be allowed to run with us? or will it only be those who came to DE?
I have some concerns about the DE session being used as a tuning session for the racers...PM me if you want to.
Also, ten run sessions?? Care to explain.

Thanks for the continued comments, folks. I really appreciate it. I'm looking at a new Sequoia. Interest-free for 60 months . . .

"Will the racers be allowed to run with us? or will it only be those who came to DE?" No way. We will be D.E. only and controlled by wrist bands. Check out the roster. Lots of friendly names.

You're still here. I got me a 95 f-350 dump body. Saves a bunch of time unloading. Gotta get a couple of rocking chairs up top! Rides like crap no a/c, but plenty of heat.

Thanks, guys. It's pretty sweet and is well set-up for somone who works on a laptop in a truck. Much better power than my 2002. Bluetooth phone thing, backup camera, NAV and tons of storage space are some pluses. Minuses are an incredibly plasticky interior and the vagaries of a new model engine/new model year.
