Tom,
I would suggest contacting/asking Arai Americas:
http://www.araiamericas.com/support.asp

FWIW, I sent my son's helmet to Arai for re-inspection after his crash; they confirmed that the helmet was now nothing but a trophy. They were pretty responsive to requests.

Yes, Arai can redo the inside of your helmet. They did mine.

Some of the newer SA05 helmet liners were defective. Check with Arai direct or with the Arai dealer where you purchased the helmet. It should be covered under warranty especially if it's fairly new. Either way, the liners are replaceable.

Responsiveness = good, but would you expect them to say anything different for a helmet involved in an accident? A) They sell helmets, B) who would want the liability?

I have an Arai motorcycle helmet and I crashed during a track day. The helmet was new so I decided to send it back and have them inspect it. They sent my helmet back with a letter stating that it was safe to use as long as I didn't repaint the damages. I was very surprised at the results.
I used the helmet for another couple of years and i purchased another Arai to replace it.
