There is exercise at the track, but not necessarily in driving. Walking around saying hello to everyone helps --

Driving on the track, even in a DE, is more strenuous than a "stroll to Starbucks".
I don't think either is a cardiovascular workout, but both are better workouts than drinking beer on the couch.

I think there are, but unless you are in decent shape before hand then you are just putting stress on your body.

Lets see...DE's at Sebring:
lots of sweat
lots of walking the pits for me
drinking lots of water
eating light meals and healthy snacks through out the day
I say DE's are super healthy!
