I'm not sure, but I think this was what was wrong with my car, forcing me to leave Barber BEFORE I GOT TO RACE...and I was feeling sort of racy in my class. I pulled the trans today, since I had plenty of time come available because I WASN'T RACING...

Do I need to dial back the nitrous?
Seriously, I'm occaisionally guilty of chirping the tires due to wimpy blips while heel and toe on threshhold, I'm thinking that's at least a contributing factor as the clutch is not very old. It broke on a 3-4 upshift, which I think I'm pretty smooth at, especially with no HP.

I missed last year, so I forgot how fun Barber is. It is a close second to Road Atlanta for me. Thanks to the Alabama guys for a great event.

How'd everybody do?
Cheers
Randy

I'll post pictures and videos tomorrow.

Also, I'll post why we'll be getting new front ends for two of our cars due to tow trucks at Barber.

If it was their fault send them a bill... I'm serious. They've paid for damage they caused to cars before...

I was surprised my front bumper survived them. They snatched the strap pretty good a couple of times on the way in.

Great weekend of racing and great to meet a number of listers. My weekend had it's ups and downs. Set my personal best (1:42.026) in the 3 practice putting me 3rd on grid for the two sprints. Managed a win in GT4S and 3rd overall in the 1st sprint. During the 2nd sprint I had the overall lead when my top end decided to give out and I ended with a DNF I did manage to walk away with the rookie award and a workers choice award that really made my weekend.

There was a complaint lodged against me for running illegal "dirt" tires Just before the 1st sprint the Scrut was going over my car while on grid but he found a set of R6's installed on the Frankencar. It is clear that my front wheels stick out a bit since going to early offset Fuchs and running 245/50-15 tires, making the car look like a dirt tracker I'll be installing a set of fiberglass 944 fenders before the next race. So to who ever didn't like my setup, I'll do my best to stay in front of you again in the next race
