I blame this wreck on the Team. They should have a person dedicated to watching the lights at the end of pit road, I bet Ferrari does after their eff up last year.
I disagree with the concept of blaming the team. Hamilton is on record before the race saying that he has to be careful with any SC period and the red lights as that caught out Fisi and Massa last year. So he is fully aware of the situation days ahead of time.
There are two things to consider here with this track in Montreal:
1. It has the most or 2nd most incidents of bring out the SC than anyother track on the calender.
2. There is the red light situation for a longer period of time because the pit lane is very short.
If you look at the video you just posted (thanks for that BTW), there are still cars coming down start/finish as RK is approaching the pit line. You can't see the final car in line on track, but RK takes off around the time it should have cleared pit out.
Slightly OT, but I would love to have seen a drag race between Kimi and Kubica from the pit lane
Correct. But there are these newfangled inventions called "airplanes" that allow teleportation between Texas and other states.
What are these "airplanes" you speak of, I only understand things with 4 wheels, and prefer flying under the radar and on the ground . You want to get me a deal on one of their LR shooting classes at their NC facility I spend too much money on my rifles and not enough on ammo or how to shoot them .

I wasn't aware of this, makes my statement worthless!
Lewis Hamilton would not have hit her red car but he would have plowed right into the white car. Now all that happened fast yet with his amazing reflexes and knowing he had to hit one of the two(he could have hit both) did he choose the red car over the white car?
Yes he swerved, if he was more experienced he would have taken both out, like Schumacher ....

+1
Plus the team mentioned about the red light to him. Wayne even found a link for me about that.
(still waiting for that other Ferrari link though...)

I agree with Wayne. But at least we can safely say the kid is getting better: had it been last season, he would've avoided them both and only taken out himself, now he took Kimi with him. With this rate next season he'll take himself and two others, who knows if he really makes big improvements he might only take out the competition and keep himself going?!
