ok, let's give him at least benefit of doubt.(jeff gordon is the best nascar driver who could have been...)
However, it depends on which circuit? If its oval track than I'll say he's got a shot but if its gonna be on suzuka!
Forgetabout it... IMO.

Yeah, I don't see him taking 130R like Schumacher, but he might be okay.
Put it this way: He's a Toyota guy, so they'll set the car up so he doesn't make an *** of himself.
I do think he has talent.

oh, I can't wait to see how this gets spun.... and I've got a whole box of reddenbockers....

seems to me the biggest issue is fitness level. When Jeff Gordon tested JPM's car and when some of the big names among the current crop of F1 drivers first came up their necks couldn't hold up to the G levels for too long.

Yes... I don't get nascar.
my biggest problem with it is, how can you consider nascar to be true form of racing when govn body allows bumping and tabbing each other... It's like WWF circus not skilled racing series. IMHO!

I think it's great. We need an American, and he seems the most talented now. I don't care what anyone says, Montoya ain't exactly set NASCAR afire. Villenueve, barely lasted a few hours. I won't even think about Hornish and Franchitti, cause they ain't F1.
IMHO Kyle has as much driving talent as anyone. If he gives it his all, I'd bet he could make it.

First, I doubt he will be going 6/10s of what the F1 drivers are doing as far as pace is concerned. This is simply a PR promotion crossing the NASCAR and F1 worlds.
Second, I don't think Busch could even remotely become familiar with the car to get up to 6/10s in a one off. Even at 6/10s he better get in the gym and have 40# weights attached to a helmet to build up his neck muscles. If he doesn't do that, then he won't last but a few laps. Case in point, the first time Kimi did a test for Sauber, he lasted exactly 2 laps saying that his neck was about to break off.
These guys in NASCAR have skills, but in a totally different environment and car. Before y'all get all over me, consider that a few years ago, a former F1 driver from the late 80's, early 90's got into an early 2000s Jordan. He could not come close to the full potential of the car and this is a former F1 driver!
Busch will comment about how "unreal" the braking is, the acceleration, grip and how light the car is. Basically everything that a stocker is not.
