I am currently looking for racing shells. Being 6'4" ~235lbs, most standard shells are either too tight, or the shoulder harness openings are too low. It looks like to best options are going to be the Cobra Suzuka S GT or Recaro Profi XL. I have worn out the search function trying to find the answer to no avail. It appears numerous people have successfully installed both seats in 996's, and I have found a couple of people who have installed the standard width Suzuka and Profi in 997's. But I have not found anybody with the wide Cobra or Recaro seats in a 997.

So if you have done it, how did it go? Did you use the factory sliders or aftermarket? Any issues with headroom? Did you mount anti-sub straps and how?
