Lap time correction: My Best in Sebring is 2:26.91 NOT 2.24.93 as mentioned earlier
After we talked about my lap time (& the impossibility with stock class 993), I started to "dig deeper" as I don't keep that much track of my lap times.
I always pay attention to them during the event and often write best lap on my log book but then it's mostly forgotten.
So now when we talked about the Sebring times and from somewhere I remembers that 2.24 time and told all you guys that's what I've done but all that talk got me thinking about it more and I wanted to know for sure so I started searching...
Couldn't find it anywhere in my records so what did I do?
I searched Rennlist of course!
Found the original post of mine from 2007 48 hrs and there I had posted the lap time which is the on the on the title of this post: 2:26.91.
I remember 38D said mid 2.26 is possible, not 2.24, it seems that he has a pretty good idea od this Porsche stuff...
My apologies about the ****up, I don't want to talk out of my *** and I don't see any point to lie about lap times and that was never my intention.
So, there it is, now if you excuse me, I need to go through all those posts and fix them!

Hmm.... I bet you could achieve 2:24 with my 993. Motons, close ratio gearbox etc. should easily make up for a 2sec difference on a bumpy track like Sebring where a stock 993 gearing is allways one too high or one to low for the corners. (mine is perfect for every corner).
Then throw in a tt engine and Erik should watch out...

It's still good (at least for a jackass!), it was actually Erik who got me thinking more about it since you at some point mentioned you'd done 2.24 (and I remembered being slower than you).
I tried to steal Juha's Motons & tyranny but didn't succeed... I need those and a turbo, then I can push Erik on the grass (instead of me ending there every time he starts to harass me...)

The high 2:26 makes a bit more sense. You're about 150-200lbs light vs. a stock club race class, so that would add a second or so. High 2:27s/low 2:28 would still put you on the podium for G, which is stout.

24 was my record in the 996, with normal laps around 28's. The new car the normal laps are 26-27's with a new personal record of 2,23:48

Either way, believe me I know how fast you are, just wish you'd show up more and come play with us in Super Solo. Sebring in 2 weeks !!

I was getting worried that I'd have to agree with A Wayne that all Finns are constantly drunk on Wodka

I'm bummed since with the weight I'd have to add, Juhe keeps telling me I absolutely "need" the Motons and that short gear tranny & LWFW.

But if you constantly do 2.26-7s (I did 2.27-8s), I believe I can keep you beghind if I push really hard... Hang on a minute... that usually ends up with me mowing the grass and you passing...
Once a year seems to be enough track days for me... Not really, I can't come to Sebring in two weeks (the usual, I'm in Italy) but there should be few days during the summer I will make. Hopefully at least 2 of them are at Sebring.

I go to Homestead just to see who goes more sideways when passing me:
The red and black 993 with a crazy finn in it, or the Orange RS with a crazy Dutch guy in it...
I think the finn still has the sideways edge, although the Dutsch guy gets braver and braver...

Way to man up. You could have just let it pass, but instead you had to set the record straight. That is integrity.
