LOL!

I didn't even think of the GT1 98 (though I did get to see one at Weissach back in 2000)...

BTW, 38D I like your avatar!

917/30 TurboPanzer.
I guess it would have to the the classic Can-Am track of Road America just because that is where the car belongs.

Gentlemen,
If there is anything better than a Can Am Lola T163 at Road America, I can't imagine it. Having done that, I believe that is as good as it gets. Hurry Downs on a summer afternoon, with each gear feeling like first gear all over again, and the sound all around you, is a memory that never leaves. The start line on lap one is another. AS

Just my .02...plus, how can one NOT love laguna!
Yeah, kinda why I put my response in the form of my ability to ( I hope) do justice. Guess no one else loves a 935!

And put me in the "NOT love Laguna camp". With the sound issues and the butchering of the track, it's pretty much just like any other aged, facelifted former beauty queen.

Yep - me too.

Second choice would be a Mustang Fastback chasing down a Charger through the streets of San Fransisco....

I was thinking about that too, maybe in a McLaren Mk8D.

You can't? Oh, wait, just means you have to use a golf cart, right?

With helicopter to transport you to the illogical patchwork of locations! (Have you seen the google maps thing a guy did where he put up all the locations of the chase?) Anyway, today you'd have to deal with critical mass bicyclists, torch relay protesters, homeless laying out in the intersection, etc., so you'd pretty much be sitting there idling.

It's pretty sad, but true. I visited a few months back on a whim. The downhill still lives, flag stations and all. Naturally on the way out I had to take it proper; it's still bumpy, still fast, still beautiful, still thrilling...except for the fire hydrant that now lives at track-out. But those several seconds it took to shoot from under the bridge through the first and second kink brought back memories. Damn shame.
