Default 2.5 liter IMSA GTU longstroke - Need Part Numbers

A friend who is not Rennlist savvy asked me to post this question. He purchased engine components to build a 2.5 liter IMSA GTU longstroke. We need a reference (book, factory pulication, etc.) that lists part #'s for factory race cams, heads, etc. If any of you have such a book or other publication, or know where we could find one, please email us back.

Thanks,

Don Bryant

ALex JOB used to run in that class , maybe someone at AJR might be able to assist you.

A.Wayne,

I posted this on the 911 forum as well as the email threads. Got two other replies. IMSA GTU was a 2.5 liter limit class. Wikipedia supports this with:

"GTU cars were Grand Touring type cars with engines of 2.5 L displacement or less. This series was dominated by the Porsche 911, then the Datsun 280ZX and finally by the SA22 Mazda RX-7s (1978-1985) through toward the end of the 80's."

I know Wikipedia is not the end-all, but I got confirming info from Peter Zimmerman.

You might be right about that , in the beginning it was 2.5 L , i had thought in the late 80's they went to 3L, maybe not. Anyway AJR raced in IMSA with a GTU class 911 , they might be able to help you ....
