pca question
I am in NY and see that they are multiple PCA's around the tri-state area.
If you dont belong to a certain club and they have a track day, is it open to out of club members (but a member of another pca club).

Yes. There's only one PCA, each state is broken into regions. Any PCA member is welcome at any event nation wide.

Allegheny Region PCA puts on wonderful DE events and they have their 2008 DE schedule posted - here's their webpage:

I have driven with most regions from UCR in Canada to Florida Crown and always felt welcome.
I am a member of Metro and Reisentoter and Potomac

New York area is a very interesting PCA area. You have three regions which are among the largest regions in PCA. Metro, Northern NJ and Connecticut Valley. The DEs they do are always well praised. Having that many Porsches around, we can see why they would be Porsche only events. Tracks too small to allow every member a chance - it's why those regions always have successful DEs too.
From what I remember - as long as you brought your Porsche - and were a member - got your application in on time - I don't think you really have a problem.
It's those procrastinators that give everyone a bad rep - LOL...

As 84-944 said, PCA is one big club covering most of North America, divided into geographical regions. Some are big, some are small, but we're all part of one big happy family.
I think we've driven with 12+ different regions and always felt welcome. In fact, sometimes it's nice to do events with other regions: meeting new people and seeing how they run things.
