Ok, I'll bite.

I love Indy cars. I really prefer to watch road racing on tv, but watching open wheels rubbing on an oval at 225 mph is pretty impressive. I can't imagine having the guts required to stay flat while doing that. Open wheel oval racing is a sport that televsion just can't capture the excitement of. I went to the night race at Texas motor speedway a couple years ago. The showers of magnesium sparks from rubbing wheels while they were battling the last 20 laps was pretty memorable. I've had more fun at the F1 race in Montreal, but the Indy car race was 1/30th the cost.

I think the big one is like THE race trophy where the driver's name is inscribed on the trophy (like the Indy 500 trophy has the drivers' faces), but you don't get to take the bigun home - and the individual driver's trophies are the small replicas of the big one?
