Where is it this year? Wasn't it at Miller in SLC last year?

What was the NASA event held at Miller last year called? It sounds like the same type of event. I think Speed covered the event for one of their Tuner shows.

I'm thinking of doing HPDE. What do you guys think of that? Do I need to be a NASA member?

Yes, you need to join to be a member. It will overbook quickly, in fact, the HPDE3 group is already full ( PCA white/black group level). HPDE 2/1 looks open (instructed). Instructors can also attend and the event is free to instructors that are accepted ( as far as I know). It is typical to get 2 students, but the advanced driver usually is capable of solo sessions. You would need to contact the admin staff to be approved for instructing. (National PCA License is typical).

Derek, It looks like they are not having time trials or a comp school at this event.

It is a bit of a "Cluster F" Gary. The spectators park anywhere and everywhere including the infield. The paddock is jammed and overflows past the start finish tower in the dirt and goes down past the bridge going into the paddock.

Bill Scott finally found a good use for the Shenandoah Circuit....he uses it as a parking lot during hyperfest
