Mark, did Mark G. know I wasn't going to be there? I tried emailing him but I heard nothing back. Actually, my last email to him bounced. I email John S. to tell him. Hope the word got through.

At least you went to the left of the curbing and not over it. That would have been a big 'thump'.

globe I see you working right there...I've done that type of maneuver a few dozen times on GranTurismo for Playstation- saves a few seconds if you go further left. remember- track driving is about going as straight as possible!

lol.

chris- your dad was great- and he seemed really excited about the boxster. I'm sure I'll see you guys around soon! do you think I can get your dad to sign off some sections on the logbook?

Ok, since you guys are sharing your best moves, here's mine. 360 in Richochet. Not enough throttle.

Note where the car ends up...

Nice work Mr. Globe! I see that you liked that shortcut so much you were trying to take another....until that bothersome guy in the right seat pointed out where the track was for you!

Another guy surprised by the sudden addition of the left hander.......

SWEET! Downshift 'n' go, baby!!!

Seriously, though, you know what you did wrong, eg? Look at your hand position at & after the apex...

I guess I'm too thick to see it. I thought it was not enough throttle early enough. I know I was also behind on any hope of a correction once it starting going.

You still had lots of steering lock at & after the apex (and likely not enough throttle). Remember, this is an offcamber turn. You need to start unwinding lock no later than the apex (and actually slightly before IMO) as you smoothly roll to power. Frankly, I roll to power just before turn-in to further settle the back end of the car, since it is off camber & downhill.

DAMN, I wish I had been there.....

Thanks CJ. I'd like to say I skillfully controlled the spin to end up pointing that way, but I was merely a passenger until it came to a rest! Thank goodness no one was close behind me. They would have had a challenge quickly deciding which way to go to clear me.

Interesting. I remember that immediately after I was thinking that I spun because I had overshot the apex and was trying too hard to turn it in to get there. Does that fit what you are saying? Also interesting is that West rode with me for my yellow checkout (yes, I made yellow believe it or not) and I was telling him about this spin. He observed that he thought the root cause was vision which was leading to missing the apex which then snowballs. He's absolutely right, I do need to get my vision much farther ahead. So I am really working hard on that.

Doesn't he at least get pre-placement credit for the J and boot turn exercises? (not that I've seen those in the log book , but certainly we can influence the next version).

Kind of looked like some quick hands jerking the wheel towards more lock just about at apex. Is that what you're seeing VR?

While you guys are all sharing videos of the weekend, I started looking at my ChaseCam files. Somehow, the bullet cam got knocked around and it was pointed straight down (I never bothered to check the alignment out at MSR). I recorded 3 sessions of my center console, anyone want to take a look?

Gee, I can see my shifts to 2nd and 4th....
