Brake Fluid For Tow Vehicle
I'm looking at flushing the fluid in my 2000 Tundra and using ATE Blue instead of the OEM. Any reason why I shouldn't use the ATE? Any concerns?

I actually use SRF in my Dodge truck...Gives the best brake pedal feel of any fluids and I never worry about fade. I figure it is good for 3+ years before I'll need to flush it.

I have a buddy who is the product manager for Castrol fluids in the U.S. So he gave me some free Castrol GTA which I'm going to use in the tow truck. Unfortunately, he has no deals on "liquid gold" (his name): SRF...

I use Castrol LMA or STP Synthetic Dot 3/4 in my dedicated tow vehicle.
RE the ATE Blue, I had an Audi A4 that I used that in onceand the clutch pedal (Hydraulic Clutch) felt so strange after. I switched back to Catrol LMA a week later and never had the issue again and the clutch master cylinder was about the only thing that didn't brake/fail on that damn car.

On a side note. I have always disliked the pedal feel on my Denali. I had the dealer flush the fluid (with OEM fluid) and it did not improve the softness.
Will going to Castrol or another high performance brake fluid improve my situation?

Probably not. Most DOT 3/4 fluids have the same "hardness" when dry. It could be the lines or maybe flex in the calipers themselves. FWIW the brakes in my old Denali sucked big-time. Worst feature of the vehicle. It took a new Dodge 2500 HD Diesel truck to show me that you can have great feeling, great stopping brakes in a behemoth.

Nope. That is just GM. My GMC Sierra pickup is the same way.
