Default Remove adhesive from lexan?

I got a used lexan windshield and it had adhesive decals across the top. After pulling them off, there is a thin sticky residue. What should I use to remove this, that will not harm the lexan? 3M adhesive remover?

Default Goo Gone

Goo Gone , which is available at home depot, Lowes etc should do it
but next step up is Naptha. Of course test before use.

If Goo Gone is the same thing as Goof Off, I would think it would make your plastic cloudy, for it's an aggressive solvent.

Post Heat

Use a concentrated detergent mixed with a small volume of lukewarm water ( not very hot ). Rub gently .Be careful, don't use solvents. No guarantee.

I would suggest Bestine to remove glue residue.

WD40, then clean the WD40 off with a light soap that cuts grease. The oil in the WD40 will break down the adhesive in a non-abrasive manner and does dull plastics.

An old trick is to use Zippo lighter fluid. It's the kind in the yellow bottle. The chemical in it is Naptha or Napthalene. It dissolves glue super quick. You can use it to take off all kinds of sticky stuff - including price tag glue, sticky labels, tape residue, etc. etc.

I suggest Denatured Alcohol. Hot enough solvent to melt the glue but not hot enough to effect the Lexan. DA work great for removal on solvent based paint finishes as well.

DO NOT use on latex finishes.
