Second (or third) the motion to skip H/T on the first outing. Focus on the line, braking and being smooth. Until you get really fast, H/T isn't that much of a necessity really. Don't get me wrong, try to learn it asap but it's not something I would be preoccupied with on the first outing.
Oh yeah.... smile, have a great time and know that this probably the beginning of a very steep and slippery slope.....

Thanks again everyone, given the concensus i will focus on other things than HT.
Im really looking forward to this, feel like a kid waiting for Christmas or back when i did my first MC track day!

Speaking of heel/toe, if you become proficient at it in one car and then move to another car does the skill transfer similar to learning to ride a bike? Reason being is next month I'll be doing a DE in a new car. I was quite proficient at H/T in the GT3. Should I expect it to be easy in an E30 BMW?

For me at least the transfer took about 1 lap... Once you have the feel for what you need to do, it's easy to apply it to any equipment you might be in. But as I mentioned earlier - I simply cannot see doing any HT on the street. I found it didn't relate at all to track driving...
