Another post in this section brings up hill climb events.

I've allways been interested in this type of event, and it seems that fewer and fewer are being run.

Anybody know of any events on or near the west coast? I'd love to give it a try!

I've done a couple events with the PA Hill Climb Association.

Here is a video of my first Hill Climb at Rose Valley. I beat the SM2 record.

Looks like we would be in Prepared 2 class, even with the % deductions for DOT tires and race class.

what kind of tires do you run in something like that? Autocross? You'd want something that would heat up quick.

I did my first one last year that was only half an hour from my home. I helped with the cableing from the top of the mountain to the start. It was a blast to drive on a winding country road at full throttle, knowing that nothing was coming the other way. Kind of reminds me of running from the cops! Ours is not on the west coast however.
