Jay, way to keep us in suspense.
I was gonna bag out of the March ECR evend due to the unfinished track surface in the braking zone for T6 (new numbering). However, a number of folks have strongly asked me to come, grin & bear it, and instruct anyway. So we'll see.

I'm in for Saturday; not sure about Sunday. Trying to do TWS this weekend, then ECR, and back to TWS. Just got a tow vehicle for the TWS events; hoping that makes it easier to endure those longer trips in such short succession.

Braking zone for T6 didn't seem too bad to me. Maybe I'm just not going fast enough to notice. I heard that they've just made some improvements to the barrier and runoff at T11 (new numbering). Moved the barrier back or something like that to give a little more breathing room there. I haven't seen it yet but I'm happy to see that ECR is continuing to make changes here and there based on drivers' feedback. They really do seem to listen to the drivers' opinions from what I can tell. Track management is very open to feedback.

If you are running heavy springs, it is NASTY. If you're not, it's not that bad there. They have promised to redo that section, but I doin't think the weather has allowed it yet.

I'll be there in a meteor gray Cayman S from Austin. I'm relatively new to PCA, DEs and sport cars in general, coming from roadracing sportbikes. Hope to perhaps meet a few of you guys there. It was rather sucky being a lone newb at the last ECR event but I had a great time. Maverick runs a great weekend.

Ditto here, Consolidated. I'm sure you weren't the lone newb last time, but still, you should expect to find friends here, and you will. My first 4 DE's got spread over two regions... LSR, then Maverick, then Maverick, then LSR. Although I still have a long way to go in terms of meeting people that stick to one or the other, you'd be surprised at how many instructors and drivers show up at both. Should be even more so when you add the Austin club.
(BTW, all of the sport bike guys that I know who have moved into PCA DE's tend to kick *** after that initial transition! Must be something about no fear of the pavement??).
I'm in #618 at Maverick DE's and #218 at LRS DE's. Stop by and say hello.
Hey Greg, I'm looking forward to seeing the RS America. I've gotten tired of watching old videos of me passing you in that Z3 grocery hauler.
