I'm pissed, so please pardon the caps!

My local Fox affiliate has decided to tape delay the start of the race today! While the broadcast (elsewhere) will start at 11AM Western time, the local Fox folks (KDVR) have decided it must make more sense to air Animal Atlas, Safari Tracks, an hour of commercials, then an episode of M*A*S*H before the Daytona broadcast at 1:30.

In other words.... Hour 2 of the race will be on Speed 1.5 hours before hour 1 on Fox! Brilliant way to bring in more viewers to the race for FOX, don't you think?

Has the local Fox affiliate been this stupid anywhere other than Denver?

Is there anyplace I may be able to watch the start on the web?

LOL....here they are playing an "Options Trading" Infomercial...

 

Last year the local Fox station ran a college basketball game, then played the opening on Sunday night, after the race was over. I sent them a strongly worded letter. Maybe it helped.

 

There is the live camera on the Daytona website, but not nearly as good as it could be.

 

In the Bay Area, it's preempted for cartoons...............

 

Same thing is happening in Portland...I am getting animal Rescue. The live Speed coverage starts before my local Fox station is showing the first 1 1/2 hours, ughhhh!

 

East Coast is right on time. We need some perks out here!

 

Yeah, I just noticed that in bay area, too. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Yu-gi-Oh! are apparently more in demand than one of the coolest road races in the world. WTF. That is sad.

 

Cartoons are on in So Cal too, rat bastards....

 

Those guys that manage to wreck on lap 1 must feel real smart.

 

Enough of the TV...I'm taking the 30 minute drive over to the track!

 

This is one reason I like living in the Eastern time zone: if you're not here, you're behind.

(Yes, that is my NY/NJ attitude shining through...)
