Dyno run?! Are you moving classes or just testing to make sure everything is in proper order?
Are you running the weekend of Feb 8/9? I'll be there to practice on the 8th, race on the 9th, and probably skip the 10th so I can make the tow home. Hope to see you out there ...

Rob,
I was just entering your information into my new Blackberry. I am staying in GTS-2. We just built a 2.5 ltr to max out the rules in PCA GT5-R. I'll build me a big motor like yours someday.
According to Martin, you had better have a new Dyno sheet when you show up in February.
I'm really excited about starting the season. I hope to make it to twice as many events this year.
As for ProTechnik, they are the competition. I can't reveal all of my secrets. LOL

My understanding, I think from an e-mail from Martin, is that we do not have to re-dyno if we did not make any changes to our engine from last year. All I did was clean the air filter, I'm not even changing the spark plugs so I think I am OK. I have last year's dyno sheet in my log book but maybe I should verify before making the trip.
I'm curious to see the where that BMW M3 ends up, the one that beat Martin by 2-3 seconds per lap in the last race. I have a hunch he was never weighed or dyno'ed and simply guessed at the class and guessed wrong. I have trouble seeing someone being that much faster than Martin. I'm all for things being a bit tighter this year with regards to classing.

I agree. I watched that blue M3, that runs with us from time to time, keep up with Bruce in his Cup car. The M3 ran a 1:39. I think he classes as a GTS-4 with NASA. I think you're okay with your sheet from last year. I think it should only have to be presented if you run away and hide from the other people in your class. At least that sounds fair to me.
Is your better half coming with you? We should get together for dinner that Friday night.

Probably just myself for this trip. For the March race we can all get together at my house in Cresson as Karen will certainly make that one. Usual plan is to grill up some steaks on the balcony, drink a little, and lie about how fast we were that day.

Sounds good to me. The PCA race is the same weekend as the NASA race. Are you doing the PCA race or the NASA race? It's got to be hard to pass up a race in your backyard, literally.

NASA for sure. I hope to run the full NASA schedule, less a few Sunday races to get a head start on the drive home. I may target an SCCA or PCA date in there somewhere but have not figured that out yet.
