That's a great Paul Newman quote. Another one is when asked why he races he said "Because I can't dance" I use it all the time.

The 2008 Rolex 24 TV schedule is:

Saturday -

Fox - from 1:00pm - 2:30pm

Speed - from 2:30pm - 10:00pm

Sunday -

Speed - from 6:00am - 2:00pm

For those watching, looks like there's no coverage between 10:00pm - 6:00am.
My DVR is set, I'll be waving from the infield.

Wife and I are driving over on Saturday to watch a few hours of it in person and then drive back to Tampa. Should be a great ride over in the Porsche.

I hear ya... a few of us are heading down as Team Seattle (Farnbacher Loles) charity sponsors and will be crewing for Synergy. Should be fun times!

The last time I remember Speed having full 24 hours of coverage was the year they had 2 red flags that night for rain. MAN! It poured! I think that was 2004.
Couldn't Speed take 1 Pinks rerun and show qualifying? Is there really that few of us road racing lovers? That's a scary state of affairs.
Preaching to the choir here, mabe I'll send them that suggestion. I'd love to watch a road race qualifying session. Don't think it could match F1, but would be fun to watch.

I'll be there Fri. afternoon and most of the day Sat. If anyone that's crewing needs an extra hand let me know. I'm not much of a mechanic, but I would be willing to hand off tools and make coffee runs.

Ok, so I checked my satellite schedule for Saturday: Speed 11:30am to 7pm
Fox 2pm to 3:30pm....
Which means I get to see the start on Fox AFTER watching 2 1/2 hours of the race on Speed??

I am on the West Coast...am I missing something (besides not going to Daytona)?
