Finally got some shots of my new helmet... These were both done by Herman Johnson of Just Herm designs. He did some indy car racing back in the 70's and 80's had a few runs at the Indy 500 even. He does a great job with his painting. My most recent helmet ('07) I think cost $475 for paint...maybe a bit less in fact. The previous helmet from '97 was about $275 for the paint...inflation.

Herm does a GREAT JOB! Both the Porsche Crests are free painted by hand!!! I think he did a better job on the first helmet from back in '97 but I can't complain about the new one! Better than most of the stuff I see at the track for sure and cheaper than most of it too!
