I think my first track time this year may be March at Barber. Assuming I have my car in order by then. Randy, you gonna do Barber?

I was there last June and remember seeing your car (RIP) but never got to meet you. I will make sure to come by at our next mutual track day.
I am in the process of upgrading my suspension (waiting on parts) so I hope to have all in order by March.

We've been up ther when it was 17 degrees high before and I have snow pictures from a few years ago. Hoosiers wouldn't get above 50-60 degrees!!

Not quite as much fun this way......

Wow! Yesterday it just looked cold but now cold and wet? Perhaps it will change for the good tonight??

On another note, I’ve read before that you shouldn’t expose some tires to below freezing temperatures. I think I saw a bulletin from Toyo about that recently. I use MPSCs and wonder if there is anything to worry about?

There shouldn't be any issues with MPSC's at below freezing temps, other than how dangerously slippery they are when cold... ;-)

since the weather is so bad and most dedicated track tires dont do well in the cold. is there any need to lower tire temps before running this weekend. i have MPSC's and was just wondering if i should leave them at normal tire pressure.

paradisenb, how close do you live by road atl?... i'm about 6minutes away from the track

With regrets, I do not think it will be warm enough this weekend for the old oil /air cooled cars such
as mine to participate and not damage bearings. Mid 40s are one thing, but wet teens (shame on you) and highs in the 30s are another story.
Can I suggest that street tires are good for Saturday and that Sunday morning's teens temps will make for a cold track with possible black ice especially at the entrance to turn 5 (bottom of the esses) which sees very little sun this time of year....
If I come it will be in a motorhome with hot coco ! (you should see coco). Kidding !

I always hope it will be in the 50s or 60s and it has happened before. The track committe from Peachstate PCA are great people and they are going to stand along pit wall and freeze just so others can go out and drive and freeze. Heated seats would be the way to go !
