One negative side-effect is that I find myself occasionally "driving around" the system and not doing things that would otherwise cause the system to intervene (e.g. aggressive trail braking). This would obviously be a problem if you're reaching for those last tenths of lap time improvement or racing, but for me it's a good trade-off in a DE environment versus the potential repairs and medical bills Chris refers to.
x2. I also appreciate PSM more as I do more DE.

My first couple DEs I found it quite intrusive, but it intervenes less as I become smoother with my throttle and steering.

Only after ~50 DE days can I consistently outdrive the PSM and it is now turned off at DEs.

"Stability" is one of those subjective words, ain't it?
