Default Who should I join NASA Mid-Atlantic or Northeast?

Hello everyone!!

I was just looking at the Nasa Northeast web page and it just seems geared toward auto X and that doesn't do it for me. The Mid-Atlantic group seems to be more set in road racing. Can anyone tell me how the Northeast Nasa group is?

Thanks,

RJ

You don't join a region. You join national and attend the NASA events you chose too. At least that is how NASA is on the west coast.

I thought you have to pick a region.

Nasa NE is a racing region. It's still growing, but has a good 944 showing and next year should be very good for GTS Challenge.

It doesn't really matter. I'm registered Mid-Atlantic but I guess really I'm in the NE.

You can find 2008 NE Schedule for HPDE /race at

http://www.nasaforums.com/viewtopic.php?t=19188

Both have almost same number of events. Both run their events almost same way.

They may ask for a "region", but it is purely on paper. The regions get money from event entries not from who belongs to what region. I would look at the schedules and based on who you would run with more be in that region.

To my knowledge no two regions run the same tracks. There are "crossovers" where drivers from two regions are invited to attend season points may apply to both. In those cases the event is either hosted by one region or hosted in joint style by both regions.
