Default Sometimes Its The Little Things That Make Your Day

Spent three tiring days at the PRI show earlier this week meeting with several vendors in efforts to select suppliers for brakes, fuel cell, fire suppression, safety belts, refueling equipment, rod ends, plumbing etc. for this new chassis we are designing. Long days of walking and talking tires the sole to the point where you just want to get home.

Also there, were many folks whom I deal with on the personal side of things Porsche where I managed, time permitting, to stop by and say hi. One of which is Lex Carson of Moton USA. Super guy, always! We BS'd a bit, he introduced me to the president of Moton, then he handed me a nice little baby Moton key fob / pen. How cool!

Like I mentioned above, sometimes its the little things that make your day!

The spring rate is high, but just soft enough to allow one to still write checks [with the pen].

Yes, Lex is great. I think the shock oil (ink) is close to the right viscosity

So, how was PRI? Was there a lot of new innovative products/designs?

How much of it was nascar/engine related?

Any new racecars on display?

Also, how's the new chassis design coming along?

PRI was pretty sweet. I was looking at mostly safety stuff/gear myself to setup accounts with. New things were the Sport HANS and Hybrid R3. Stand 21 has a new helmet on the way that was really nice as well.

I'd say that well over half was drag/oval/dirt racing oriented.

Best new racecar on display was the Grand-Am Riley built M6 in with it's raw carbon bodywork.

Got only a few pics, mostly of stuff we are interested in for the new car. Also, some very cool weight optimized brake calipers from AP. Check these out:

And Kimi's rather small racecar carbon-carbon clutch, under 100mm!!
