Seibon carbon-kevlar seat?
Does anyone have any experience with this company? They are reasonably priced, but I don't see any indication of any sanctioning body (FIA,etc.) approval.

even in the JDM/ricer world, Seibon isn't exactly well respected - they make cheap / knock-off stuff.
I would steer clear for safety equipment, not a place to skimp!

Funny, pretty much all the Seibon stuff I have dealt with has been reasonably priced and actually fit. Monster, Gialla, etc are much more "JDM" but a lot of times that stuff just simply wont fit, despite costing more. Seibon stuff has been good quality all the way through and my only real criticism of it is that its heavy for what it is supposed to be, and it is usually more "mundane" than some of the more agressive stuff such as Origin, BN, Garage HRS, Gialla, Monster, etc.
As for the seat, just buy one from a reputable, known manufacturer until the time comes when/if Seibon actually gets FIA approval for thier seat -which I personaly doubt they will do. Non-FIA approval BTW doesnt mean a crap product, it simply means the manufacturer hasnt gotten approval for what could be many reasons. Status for example didnt have FIA approval on thier top of the line carbon seat for some time simply because the seat development and pre-production was done before FIA got around to licensing the seat.

I didn't say it's crap - but the quality is "meh" at best and you're better off paying more or just passing on their stuff. I had one of their hoods on my car (as when I was twin-turbo'd I wanted some more cooling / airflow), turns out it didn't fit all that well, and it didn't hold up as far as construction went either - the top and bottom started to delaminate from each other. I've heard from plenty of other 350Z owners the same kinds of experiences - sounds like you've had better luck than what I am aware of.
Either way, I'd NEVER buy a seat from a company that couldn't properly make a hood, much less didn't get their stuff homologated - heck even Corbeau managed to do that

forgive their crappy website:

I'm quite happy with mine, for less money than a RECARO / Sparco / Momo / Cobra etc I feel its as good or better build quality (seems stiffer too) and its QUITE comfortable.

I'll echo what dmoffitt said. Cheaper than the others and build quality is just as good.
I have a RT4009HR and RT4009WHR that are returns sitting on the shelf ready to go for a great deal.

They were the 4009W. I'm just a pinch under 6' and about 20-25lb overweight (36 waist) and they fit great. Seems they've gone up considerably in price actually, so I don't feel bad.
