Default Flying Lizard entry in 25hrs of Thunderhill

I wonder if they're renting drives in the RSR for this one. Seems like an unlikely event for them but might be the ultimate short of the 24hrs of Lemons for dodging slower cars (at night (maybe in the rain (or snow))).

It'll be interesting to see what their driver lineup is.

update on Tuesday.... they were on the entry list yesterday, but have dissappeared as of today... guess they thought better of it. The Crawford is still on the entry list, tho.

Flying Lizard was 3rd overall in the 2003 25hr. It will be interesting to see how an ALMS GT2 car goes against the Crawford Daytona Prototype that is entered. What a crazy grid!

Yeah, someone mentioned that to me. I THINK it was the guys who rolled up at 6pm after the track closed the day after the Sears Grand Am race. I'm just kinda wrapping up working in my garage, getting ready for a private rental we had the next day........and I start hearing "it" going full tilt, with literally no one else even at the track. Uh huh. No idea if the driver had even seen the track before! Believe me, I was at the ready to assist with whatever bad thing might unfold.

I think it's great.
Might as well wear out the '07 if you have an '08 coming.

Yes, it looks to be a wonderfully varied grid. The closing speeds between the prototype and spec miatas should be pretty fun ;-). Just glad we'll be towards the front, and even then expect the DP to be screaming by. I hope Flying Lizard gets back in the game, as it's nice to see them bring some notoriety to this fun event. For those of us non-pro teams, it's great competition and great fun.

By the way, we still have room for 2 more drivers if someone want to jump in at the last moment. We've already won the Overall Race this year in the WERC series lead up races (3 hours). Some pics here :

Yes, 20 years of driving/racing since then. Back then I was driving a 1976 911S targa, peru red, with a 3-speed sportomatic. From San Diego. That was my first year of PCA Time Trialing. I distinctly remember chasing you into the carousel thinking, "If that dang VW can go in that fast, certainly my Porsche can!" SSSSSSPPPPPIIIIIIIIINNNNNNNN.....
Nope.
Since then , the car was repainted in its original ice green metallic, given a full toot racing 2.7, and a 4-speed sporto.
After getting tired of being outspent, I parked it and bought a 944 spec car. One of our class' cars is being entered in the 25 hours this year.
