So, does anyone have any good ones?
Here is mine from this past weekend. First of all, I sweat like there is no tomorrow. Second, I live in Texas of all places, where its hot all the time, even in winter. Anyway, I use a bunch of balaclavas throughout the weekend since I don't like to wear used ones (even once). I always keep a large supply in my bag that my wife washes after every event. So, I got a flat tire in the first run session of the morning and was a little hurried to get to my students (Jason, luckily I know him) car. So, I just reached in the bag and grabbed a head sock. Well, here I am prepping for the session, talking to my student and putting on my head sock, helmet and comm device. Well, I'm having troubles figuring out the balaclava. It looks too small to fit on my head and the eye holes seem big. Something just looks weird but I can't place it since I'm talking. I finally focus in and figure out the problem: It's a pair of my wife's sports panties!!!!!!!!
Needless to say, I wore my helmet without a head sock.........

Can't compete with that....
2 Years back at La Junta, was running around a lot, 3 students, driving myself, and doing control in between. After 2 sessions in a row in students cars, getting into, then out of mine, and making the mad dash to my student patiently waiting on the grid...
There was this little cable fence, couldnt be more then a foot high.
I still had my helmet on... as many onlookers pointed out as i faceplanted into the ground, which apparently was a good thing.
My student had a completely straight face when i got in the car. No idea how..

Greg, that was it..... For some reason, I do remember someone with a camera but I don't think there are pictures....
Yup, that quote came to mind. I love that movie.
Guys, it still makes me laugh out loud. I bet the look on my face was priceless. I do have to say that Jason kept a straight face.

John, think of a bikini bottom but made out of the new material like underarmor. Not a thong..... Nor granny panties (that would have been bad......). Hey, at least they were my wifes.

I will search bag for one of my own, but this one is pretty funny:
Prior Chief Instructor for our region was pretty serious (uptight?). He often would take runs in lower groups (sound familiar). In this case we were at the Glen and he went out in Black. His car gets him around in about 2mins flat and he is a fast driver but WTF to driving flat out in a slower group. A buddy of mine was always one of his targets for abuse. End of session, in comes CI and pulls up to my buddy. Gets out of his car and starts yelling, LOUD. Drovers stop what they are doing and coming out of the woodwork to listen/watch. "Why did you not see me!!!?" Where is the pass signal?, You better pay more attention!!! He just kept yelling, more people came over. Finally, my buddy knowing what happened said," what run group were you out in"? "Black damnit!!!." Oh, I'm in white......................... CI looked as if he swallowed a bug. No apology, just walked off to hide from the gathered crowd.

Grant, did you damage the helmet? I'm clumsy enough sometimes to see it happening to me.
Bob, we had a similar CI a while back. Got his car dyno'd at big dyno gathering and pulled something like 230hp from an SC (F class) at the rear wheels...... Ops......

George, I think your story tops all. It helps that your wife is hot looking.
My meager contribution: racing in Grand Am Cup, hot day, my co-driver qualified the car & started the race. He was doing well, and came in for the pitstop/fuel/driver change. He gets out, I get in. Crew, which that day ONLY included the team owner's fiance, helps me into the car. Said fiance was in charge of getting my helmet plugged into the radio circuit, attaching my cool suit hoses, and making sure my harnesses were properly cinched & properly on the HANS. As she was doing the cool suit hoses, she couldn't find one of the 2 hoses, which normally protrude from a small hole in the right pocket of my driving suit. It must have slipped back in the suit when I hurriedly got into the seat. Anyway, her snap idea was to lower the zipper of my suit, reach in, find the hose, and stick it through the hole.
Except she reached in & found a...um....different hose.![evilgrin](https://rennlist.com/forums/graemlins/evilgrin.gif)
I do not believe I have ever seen any person turn so beet red in my life.
