Recommendations for building LSD's please...
I'm requesting help in finding a shop that can build reliable LSD's for our new Spec Boxster Series. We have about 12 cars built and more in the final stages of completion. We we would really, reallylike to install LSD's in them.
We've talked to the big names, Quaife and Guard, but they're both too busy and really expensive.
So I though i'd ask our community for ideas....

Brian Copans (company is BMC&G). He's one of the factory authorized rebuilders for the current (and past) motorsports trans. The real hands on guy. ...he may be getting busy too.

Give Dave a Dart Auto here in Denver a call.
He has a line on a Japanese LSD manufacturer. Not sure if he can get Boxster units but worth a call.
His number is 303-296-1199

I have never used this brand. They do have Porsche units and the price looks good.
I recently installed a Quaife ATB in a Cayman S. Customer was very happy with the unit. Install was very smooth. With the Boxster being a mid-engine vehicle, I think the TBD (torque -biasing) is a viable option. They run right at $1000.

I have used Guard 80/80 ZF style fo 5 seasons of PCA club racing. It has performed flawlessly and has not been rebuilt. The Guard unit cost more up front, but I think you will find it is money well spent.

Although Kaaz is a Japanese company, their LSDs are Chinese-made. They're rather crude internally, and don't function smoothly like a Porsche LSD. Before buying one of these, I'd talk to Joel Reiser, who's had one apart.
