not sure if your rear wing is high enough, Mahler.

High enough?? LOL. Meets reqs! Works pretty well, but I intend to do some experimentation with fore/aft placement in 2009, budget permitting. By the way, several of the cars in his thread were built by the same person. The red #1 car, the white and blue #24, the white/yellow (now orange and blue!), and the white/blue #21. All Getty Design bodywork. All weigh under 2000 pounds. All of these cars run regularly with the SF Bay Area Porsche Racing Club. There are at least 4-5 additional 993-bodied race cars built on earlier chassis in our area... I will try to get and post some additional pics.

I think this thread needs to see some photos of Bob Stefanowicz' car before the 996 body kit...

Okay... Here is one of Kevin chasing Bob at Sears Point, taken by esteemed photographer and "shoe" David Leong...

And for grins, some more Leong photos... Laguna 2004, a pro event which included a Club Race. Mat Lowrance and Masuo Robinson (in a car built by Mat) won the two feature races, beating all of the factory cars. The spectators couldn't believe that the race winners loaded up their own cars and drove home.

In these pictures you can see Bob's car, and the mighty yellow/purple monster of Van Zannis. All with 993 body work. And don't forget Joe Wong in his factory GT2.

The dark blue car is Bob's based on an early 911. He became interested in the KMR/Max Crawford 996 CF bodywork at the Laguna event, and I think later that year the car went to Fabcar for "treatment." The car is still active in PRC events. Joe's red #125 car is factory racing iron.

I used to watch the POC races at Willow Springs and Bobs' car was extremely quick. And, right before he had the body work done, the car looked like someone painted it with a brush.

A pinkish-orange brush.
