WARNING HAULMARK OWNERS!!!!
We bought a 2006 24ft stacker last week. Its used, but only once, driving to the body shop to pick up the car for this weekend and the trailer broke! The brackets that were supposed to hold the leaf springs in place broke loose from the frame of the trailer. Upon further inspection there was no penetration on any of the welds that were made. So far Haulmark is not willing to do anything to remedy this problem Despite the fact that we sent detailed pictures of the poor welding job done at their factory.
Please check your trailers and make sure that they are welded properly. Thank God no one was hurt and no damage to any of the cars, it could have been a lot worse for 65 down the highway with 2 cars etc in the trailer.

yeah I wish they made them for that trailer but aparently the torsion axles wont handle the load. The trailer empty is 14000#'s and with two cars and extra stuff its close to 22000#'s.

22K lbs???
Thank goodness everything turned out okay. So what exactly happened at 65 mph on the road?
The leafs failed and the whole rig just slammed onto the ground grinding to a halt without tipping over?
Did Haulmark send anyone out to even look at the trailer? With such a potentially catastrophic failure, you would think that Haulmark would send a rep out to 'learn' something...

Fortunatly it did not happen at 65 we were only on back roads. The rear axle broke loose and hit the rear fender cutting down the tire. Other then that there wasnt any damage. Haulmark gave us the name of 3 shops 1) Out of business. 2) Said since we didnt buy the trailer from them they would not fix it and 3) Doesnt sell Haulmark anymore so they wouldnt fix it either.
Finally got an independed welder to come and take a look at it and he ended up rewelding all 8 brackets to the frame. We will see if haulmake wants to make good on the deal before we start plastering banners all over the trailer. I think a 24x14 sign would do some damage to their business.
I will post some pics this evening

This would probably work though "See me about my dangerous broken welds BEFORE you buy a Haulmark trailer".

There was no car in it?
Ask them for the repair instructions. what needs to be done to prep the effected area? Size of wire? Depth of penetration etc. They probably did not follow their own prints.
I am in dispute with one of my vendors over under-carriage defects. The good news is they will reimburse us. Bad news is its pennies on the dollar. And I am one
of their most valued customers!
I sincerely wish you luck

I'm glad it wasn't worse than it was. It reminds me of a problem Bob Stretch had with a Renegade trailer a few years ago.

He had the tongue break off a three car stacker with two race cars, a street car, a Harley and an ATV inside.

Well it looks like they are going to reimburse the $600 it cost to have it done right but that doesnt excuse the fact that it was not done right the first time.
