What is the motivation behind the soft versus the dry. Does the hard compound absorb less water for contact patch?
I'm assuming you mean the difference between the two dry tires, i.e., the hard and soft? I'm guessing the difference is primarily the same as what they'd consider for a dry race ... i.e., if the car was better on hard compounds, they'd go with the hard compounds. I can't imagine one is better or worse than the other for evacuating water ...
