7 pt. harness...???
i've read rules and articles saying "5, 6, 7 pt harnesses...." but i've never seen nor heard of a 7 pt harness. i thought 6 was the max? good god where does the 7th point go? do i want to know?

i have a 7 pt G-force harness. they were out of 6 pt, the only reason i got 7. it's got 3 sub straps instead of 2, as you can imagine the third goes straight down. there's so much webbing there it's almost like having a solid layer of webbing. not really that uncomfortable.

Interesting. I have what Team Tech calls a 7 point harness. It is their jet pilot series, and though it attaches at 5 points, it also wraps around the thighs (kind of like sitting on your sub belts) to control the forward movement of the lower torso. It is very comfortable and really holds me in place. Team Tech

6pt controls antisub effect in fore aft direction better than 5pt. 5pt works better in rollovers. 7pt is really 6pt attached via the lap to shoulders or hybrid to shoulders with the traditional 5th pt added right down the middle to capture all the benefits of the 5 and 6pt designs.
