Two New LMP1 Diesels Planned for 2008

Ian Dawson's VW-based V-10 diesel developed by Caterpillar and now AER

ECO Racing will have two new Radical SR10 chassis for LMP1.

article on the project when it had a Lola chassis:

http://www.rfmsports.com/IMSA/ALMS/S...ls.taurus.html

Runs on Jatropha bio diesel. The Jatropha curcas tree is a drought resistant inedible oilseed plant which makes use of otherwise unusable land and has no impact upon the foodchain.

http://www.planetlemans.com/2008/02/...te-at-sebring/

The car uses bodywork components made from 100-per-cent-biodegradable hemp fibre and will run solar panels to power some of its electrical systems. It has been liveried in water-based, rather than petroleum-based, paint and its Dunlop tyres will be re-cycled after use.

Thanks for the update. Team Trans Sport Racing isn't on the list, but they are highly rumored to race a Doran-built Ford GT in the GT2 class this year.

..and would have taken the first three places (in class) if it hadn't been for some very bad luck and on track incidents.
