The 996 GT3 Cup is a poor street car ( 1 2 3 4 5 6)

The silly chermanz call the plow a "splitter". Now, let's talk about the heating and airconditoning. Talk about bogus! I noticed that there were no turn signals either. On a car of that price?

And where the hell is the stereo???? BTW I test drove my 964 cup in Luxemburg, in rush hour traffic on damp cobblestoned streets with (imo) way too many stoplights. Still apparently able to father children but cannot attest to the condition of various internal organs. Congrats on the 1-2-3 etc, I couldn't figure how I missed this one!

Junk I tell you, they're junk. On the one I drove the steering wheel kept falling off into my lap, and the windows wouldn't roll down. What's with that?

And on the one I drove, the brakes were REALLY grabby, especially after they warmed up. They squeaked a bit, too. And boy was that car loud! They need to add thicker carpeting & more sound insulation so I can listen to the Montovani CD's that Larry keeps sending me.

Is he telling you to go straighter and to push the gas pedal all the way down? Lot's of rookies make that mistake or so I've been told.

I think you're full of it.
I am sick and tired of hearing "I want to drive my 997 GTS Cup on the street but it rides a little rough and..."
Listen, just because it doesn't have cup holders or blinkers doesn't mean it's a bad street car. Using hand and arm signals out the window is a pertectly legitimate method for signaling turns.
In addition, you never have to worry about changing blinker fluid.
Besides, cupholders are useless anyway. You simply end up holding your 44oz. Big Gulp between your legs like everyone else because they don't fit the recepticle. Face it, Porsche is progressive on this issue and being environmentally responsible by not producing needless plastic items that serve no purpose and eventually take up space in landfills. I say good on them.
Some say it's too loud for the street. To that I say: B.S.! That's intentional. It warns the deer, small children, and other animals that you're coming, thus saving countless number of deer-lives and stuff. All manufacturers should be so considerate.
Of course such environmental responsiblity doesn't come cheap, thus the premium price on the car.
