Speaking of flipping them, I did and they feel just as good as the other way. I'm looking to even the wear on the edges. Great tire, especially for the $$.

AND if they're really at or above 2/32 they they still have 1/3 of their life left...the most entertaining 3rd.

ON my M3 they wore a little more quickly than on the 996 but they would still go seemingly forever. I wouldn't be suprised if you got 4-5 or more full days out of them if you flip them from left to right on the rims.

Sweet! I have a 3-day event coming up and then the car goes into the shop for SERIOUS track changes so I'll have no more need for the NT01's

Do you mean flip the tire on the rim or flip from the tire/rim combo going from the right side of the car to the left and vice versa?

I'd do both. Flip each tire on same rim then put that tire on the other side. This should maximize your wear.

Yes Dell, I flipped them on the rim so that "Inside" is showing out. The sidewalls are just as stiff -- can't feel the difference.

Isn't that alot of work if you don't have a tire installation machine?

I have a good relationship with my local Discount tire store because I buy all my tires for my personal and business vehicles at this location. For my loyalty, they will discount some services or give them for free. I think I paid $10 per tire to dismount them, flip them, remount and balance. It's worth it considering how many tires I go through in a year of track work.

Dell - based on Post 10 you're about as good with telling right from left as I am.

In any case, the tires you've got on top are the lefts - I'm wearing them about 10-20% faster than the rights.

Dell,

Did you shave these or start using them at full tread depth when you first started using them.

Thanks,

Dave

How do the Nitto tires compare to Michelin Sport Cups and Toyo RA1's?

I am trying to decide between these 2 for my C2S on a set of 18" wheels. I will need to drive these tires to and from the track.

Toyo sizes 245/40/18 and 305/35/18
Michelin PSC 235/40/18 and 315/30/18

Any opinons on these tires and sizes?

thanks!
