Mark, you wanna know something? Every now and then say, "What the f...." "What the f..." gives you freedom. Freedom brings opportunity. Opportunity makes your future.

Hey guys, I just signed up for the event. I haven't driven MSR in the GT3 so it should be interesting. I did Hallett a couple of weeks ago but I wasn't really pushing it. I was learning the car.
George - Can I get a ride with you or somebody who has a seat to learn the track in a Porsche.
Thanks.
Ritesh.

Ritesh, after all my ruckus about not getting an email for instructing, I finally got it. Now the bad news, my wife informs me I have my high school reunion that weekend...... Crap..... Maybe next time. I'll be there for the next two (EC and MSR).

I won't be there. I want to get back up to MSR soon, but since I'm doing 2 weekends in a row at TWS in Sept. already (LSR and Driver's Edge), I can't swing another weekend at the track. (or, rather, I can't swing my wife's approval, since I've already spent almost $8K last month improving my car... )
I'll be with HCRPCA @ TWS in Oct, though. Mike: MSR is a great track. It's a lot more "technical" than TWS, though--approach it with an open mind and you'll be fine.

Well, assuming that we can finally diagnose my valve clatter problem, I still plan on running the Sept DE as a prelude to the end of the month BMWCCA club race and the Hallett affair in October.
As for the valve racket, it would seem that one needs to bleed oil lines feeding pressure-fed tensioners after replacing said line - as well as bleeding said tensioner. Fortunately, I did not make this mistake! Someone else did and is getting it corrected. No valve train damage or piston slapping at this point.
Oil embolisms in a Porsche are NOT a pretty thing (to see or hear)!
Toby
Note: OK, so I corrected my mistake! Obviously, I stayed at the Holiday Inn Express before they conferred medical degrees! Aneurisms are (supposedly) much different from embolisms! I will now cease and desist the medical practice and go back to dealing with data centers and computers instead! Besides, computers always do exactly what you tell them to do.

That's pretty funny when a couple of mid to late 40's guys are making fun of someone in their thirties........ Eat me.... Worst part of all of this is that I have to do it all over again next year. My wife went to the same school but was a year younger. I really have no interest in going.
Toby, glad to hear it wasn't serious. You looked really worried and pissed when I last saw you.

Me too. I was and I was. We need a few more days of heat cycles with NO valve train/timing chain/tensioner noise before declaring victory. At least I now know what a failing tensioner sounds like!

Dude, you look like Eddie Munster with a sasquatch-like back.
I, on the other hand, liike patrician and elegant. And MAGNIFICENT!!!!!!!!
Oh, and as Jay properly posted, it's "Grecian" not "Grecion". Did you go to Flori-DUH State or something?

I usually run Red in TDE. But IIRC they had me in yellow solo last time in the PCA event.
What car are you bringing Dave?

Dave, I don't know how to spell it but lets think about that for a second. I guess I've never studied the bottle. I'm glad you have...... BTW, you also had some errors. You used two "i"'s in like and you added the letter "n" in Patricia.
