If you watch/listen to the video, you can he hear the impact after Charlie avoids the 996's spin and goes off-track to avoid contact. The 996 had to be off-track at that point to make contact and moving right. What the video cannot see, the drover has explained from his perspective. Quick reactions avoided alot of yellow paint on your car.

Wow! Three pages of this discussion. Fluid on the track , car spins, car behind does everything to avoid, mild impact, no one is deemed at fault. It's racing

Disclaimer: I am not a steward and the following is just my opinion/view

My understanding of PCA's 13/13 rule is that most of the time, as car that spins is deemed to have caused the incident. I am sure there are exceptions to that rule, but it makes sense to me. If there was oil/fluid down on the track, then all bets are off, and it may be deemed no ones fault. But there are no "racing incidents" in PCA.

Yep, the point of the 13/13 as explained to me is to protect our expensive p-cars and keep the races fun. If someone is spinning, they have become dangerous and threaten our cars and our fun.

While I understand that the steward's call is for no 13 because of oil, that doesn't relieve yellow 996 of spinning into Dr. J's car and ending his race when he is five feet off his bumper and makes evasive maneuvers into the weeds. Finally I would point out that several cars made it without spinning through the turn that the yellow 996 did not.

Would like to meet you one day Charlie, and would like to meet your wife even more! Good luck at RA and getting the car fixed.

I hope you guys cant be serious about attacking anyone. Bull you hittin the pipe or what??

In reading Bob, 38 and kev's responses I got an answer, it sounds like based on the fact the follow car went agro to avoid, and the lead car slid in that direction after action was taken by follow and contact is made, it makes sense. SO, NO Debris and the lead car gets the 13..

Thanks

Rich, it was established long ago that NEITHER car was going to get the ridiculous "13", so nobody was trying to establish that. Speaking of "pipes".....

Nice video (and driving) Colin. Looks like fun. Interesting to watch how you take a pretty different line than Charlie approaching several turns.

Charlie - tired engine or not, you look pretty damn fast. Nice work!
