For decades people have called the Ford GT a 'GT40'. There was never a 'GT40'. It was a figment of the British press because the car was 40 inches high. Some outfit copyrighted the name 'GT40' and tried to sellit back to Ford lately for millions of dollars. Ford, very rightfully, refused. And it was Shelby Cobra, not 'AC Cobra'. The press can be cruel a lot of times in deciding to call something that it's not.

The manufacturers also have a bad habit of calling a car something it's not...
