Default French F1 Grid Girls

I would have thought the French would have had "more fashion" for the grid girls than the white shirt/white pants they had on. Was it a tribute to the corner workers?

I can't find any pics on the web. They were not exciting.

They were in the background on TV.

While I normally find your comments insightful, let's face it, the French are known for fasion. This is a showcase event.

Mich

It was a funeral. Motorsport is not about fashion, it's about wearing clothes you have to read (cf. McMurtry, Texasville). The French are known for fashion, the fashionistas were ar Valencia (Americas Cup), or Longchamps (TB racing), or Cap Ferat (lounger racing), or anywhere but Magny Cours.

There are lots of things that are show cased by F1, fashion is not one of them. The fact that it has 'grid girls' tips you the wink that as far as fashion is concerned, its 'down market'. Imagine Milan fashion week being held in a branch of Hooters (on second thoughts, please don't, they have tried everything else).

I don't know if they were at Sebring/Daytona or La Sarthe first, but they are very 'personable'.

A well known P car racer was the first to take them to the races, way back (according to him)
