Default FS - Two sets of Toyo RA1's for $1100 (one set new - one at the wear bars)

Tires are:

245/40 18
275/40 18

First set is brand new never used and are shaved. I had them mounted but they were never used. Second set I bought full tread and have worn them down to the same tread depth as the new shaved set. Buyer pays shipping.

Sean,

Going over to the Hoosier Dark Side? Or, are you all the way into slicks?

Hey Jason. I'm on the Hoosier pipe. Monday and Tuesday at the Glen were my first days on them and I'll never put another tire on my car again

What do you think the time difference was? Did you do the club race on RA-1's?

I doubt very much. Just for reference, I'm running 275/45/17 (and They are too tall) for the track and 265/35/18 for street. The next size up in 18'' would be 275/35 or better yet, 285/30. Those sizes listed for sale would fit your Cayman. Those are the sizes Chris R. is running on stock wheels at the track.

Yes, I did the club race on RA1's. I was consistently 1.5 second faster on the Hoosiers this Monday and Tuesday than my best time at the race, just trying to get used to them. I never got close to the limit on them (I was at the limit in some corners on the RA1's). I think there's another couple of seconds there just with pushing entry speeds and throttle application points. The grip level is much higher. When I moved to the Hoosiers, Dan J. also changed my setup some including lowering the car and that helped a lot. The new setup feels much, much faster.

If you are running 18 wheels they will. Are you running 17's or 18's?

18's for sure, but I am away in vacation and can't verify the other dimensions...

+1...
I was at The Glen this past weekend and found very similar experience. I was asking myself how could I not be finding the limit on these tires?
Also, I think with the re-paving efforts, the track is even more grippy - noted there were very few incidents of off track this weekend as well in all run groups.

Paolo, you're going to like the RA1's. What are you currently running?
