Actually many of the brakes are made by Honeywell in South Bend Indiana. They have an impregnation system for the carbon fibre pads that is also used by Brembo for many of the F1 braking systems.

I almost had my hands on one of the reject F1 rotors before I left the company.

Yeah it's impressive but I'll bet the pedal feel was lousy.
