Rear Camber on 944
I did a little modification to the rear suspension over the winter, and the rear camber went a little out. I thought to myself, Self, I can do this. I bought the tool that sets the rear allignment. I found out that the only thing I think it adjusts is the rear toe. There is a concentric bol;t on the swing arm that adjusts the ride height a little, and it will show a slight change in camber, but not much. I was able to set the ride height, and the rear toe, but not the camber.
My question--- What the heck changes the camber on the rear of a 944?

Does this help? From the workshop manual.
Changing the camber will change the toe, and changing the toe will change the camber.
Changing the camber will change the toe, and changing the toe will change the camber.

I used tool 9171 to adjust toe, which worked. But doing the camber with the other adjustment, did not work, I'll check it again tomorrow.
Thanks,
Bill

Make sure that you don't have the bolts too loose. If this happens, the short collar on the eccentric will not ride on the spring plate and move it. Ask me why I know this.
Oh yeah, you'll also gaul the SH*T out of the spring plate if the collar isn't in the groove. I mean.......I hear someone else did this.

Thanks for the tips, sounds like something I would do. For instance, when I got my new trailer a couple of months ago, I was very carefull when loading. I had 16" wheels on the car. The last time I loaded it, I had 15"s on the front, and about tore my new oil cooler off. So, tomorrow, I have to put a new oil cooler on, before I realign it.
Oh well,
