Default BBS wheel center needed..

I was checking my 18'' BBS wheels for the next VIR event and found a crack. This is the second wheel I've found a crack on. The last one was just back in March.

Anybody have an 0228002 or a 0228041 wheel center?

a930rocket at Bellsouth.net or PM me.

Thanks,

Jim, how old are your wheels, and is it on the fronts or the backs?

What type of wheels? I have noticed that Fiske and Forgeline 2-piece commonly develop small cracks and start leaking in around 2 years. The 1-piece and 3-piece wheels don't have this issue, but the 3-piece wheels are supposed to be taken apart, reassembled and resealed every 2 years.

I bought them used from Bob Woodman about 4-5 years ago and rebuilt them last summer to make them wider. I called BBS Motorsports and they are pretty old according to them. I suppose I should update them to the new forged centers. Know where I can get them at a good price?

I'm using them on the front. My other set of fronts have a BBS part number of 0228041, so if anybody has that center, it will work.

If you remember, I had a cracked rear one just before the Zone 2 event at VIR.

They are 18'' BBS wheels and were rebuilt last summer or fall. There is an aluminum ring with a rubber bead between wheel halves that gets replaced along with new bolts.
