Towing Mavens: Please Help!

I miss my trailex
I did take the trailer today to my wrench (empty), and I did use the mirror extensions. Though they vibrate a lot, I was finally able to see in back of the trailer and not fear running someone off the road.
So, though not ideal, they do "work". After an exhaustive search of the web, and in talking with the Ford dealer, there is no "real" solution for for a 2006 Expedition with the integrated puddle lamp/blinker mirror. I cant put F250 mirrors on. Only "band aids" such as the mirror extensions kind of help.
We'll see how it tows with the car in it. Either it will be ok, or I'll get a different tow vehicle. (or maybe Boston's trailex will magically disappear )
Its off to The Glen in two weeks for Cups & Saucers. See you there!

Jimmie-
By chance does your 2006 Ford Expedition have the auto load leveler/airbags? I have the same tow vehicle as you and found that mine does NOT have the option, and I am finding more of the older Expeditions have the option, but not many of the 2006's....odd. Quite frankly, I'm not real impressed with the Expedition as a tow vehicle.

AC,
No, mine doesnt have the auto load leveler option either. The dealer told me that was "a good thing". My 200 Expedition did have that option. Honestly, I have not towed my new trailer with the race car in it yet. I will soon.
It did tow the trailex fantasticly, FYI,. We'll see about the 20' enclosed. Guess you dont really like yours.
I will say I really like the Expedition for its family utility. It hauls all our toys and is comfortable and easy to drive. Ijust hope it will two the fully loaded trailer well. If not, maybe a F250 Crew Cab. We'll see!
