I just prefer to think of it as 'storing' the Cup car for my son when he turns 18 and goes from karts to the Cup car.
The plus side of giving up driving for his karting are the memories. Watch your kid come across the line to take the checkers, fists pumping......those are priceless.
The funny side of kids hobbies/expenses is watching your wife realize that YOUR driving isn't as expensive as your kids' karting.

Sit back and enjoy the ride, there's nothing like it.

The universal tool is what got you in trouble in the first place.

Besides, I already have the best tool.

Dell,

Well done. Have two boys myself, alas only one is a gearhead. We have karted, raced motocross and are now doing DE's together. Truly a bonding experience seeing your kids doing something you love. Hope you are as lucky as I have been. ( the other one is great too, he is my skiing buddy).

YEA!!!!

There willbe many, many, many track days you will miss because of your baby. And then there will be countless nights you stay up, a lot of times you'll be frustrated, hopeless, helpless, clueless and just wondering but it will all, and I truly mean it will all be worth it.

Loving someone else in a way you would die for them without even blinking an eye thinking about it is something I think you can't never experience if you don't have a child.

Big congratulations! Tell future mama the best, go in front of the mirror and tell yourself "I'M THE MAN!"

Oh yeah, give lots of foot and back rubs while she is preggo. I apparently begged off too many foot rubs when my wife was pregnant with the twins, and I will be hearing about that for the rest of my life.

This will be my first child and I can't tell you how excited my wife and I are. Let's just say that we didn't think we could have children so this is truly a miracle blessing from above

Just want to share the news with my Racing/DE buds
Congrats , we will see if the smile is the same when the in house demolition starts in a couple years
