944 Fenders on 924S?
Anybody here have any experience with 944 Front Fenders and 944 Flared fiberglass quarters on a 924S Body?
I currently use 928 Dish wheels, 7" front with 65mm offset with spacers and 8" rear with 52.3 offset no spacers.
Is it better to stay with current wheels and increase track width or change to 8" fronts and 9" rear width wheels and increase tire widths at both ends?

Unless you've drastically upgraded your power output, I'd be surprised if you're overpowering the rear tires - so I'd go for the added track with spacers, not incur a rolling resistance penalty.
From the looks of the pic above, you can fit plenty of spacer in there as-is, without even adding bodywork, as long as your fender lips are rolled.

wider track = more grip in theory.
More rubber = more grip in theory.
The only issue is that too much tire on low hp car will hurt straight line speed. How much the extra grip helps I can't be sure.
BTW... I believe 225/50 R15 are faster than 225/50 R16 on a 944/924 with stockish hp and gears. I have seen one back to back test that showed 2 seconds a lap difference. I believe the reason for that is the 16" does not add extra grip or stiffness, but is slightly heavier and being 1" tall overall negatively impacts gearing vs the shorter 15". If you are going with 16" I would shoot for at leat 245's, because in that case you can at least make up for the weight & diameter issues with more tire.
One other thing to consider is drag. Stock 924S has a cd of 0.33. Stock 944 NA body has cd of 0.35.
So for long highspeed runs the 924S has an aero edge at least on paper. Now if you want to gain back some of that Aero edge thi 951 nose and rear under diffuser changed the cd to 0.33 once again.
Of course I don't know how cd changes on lowered track cars, but I can only guess that the same differences apply.
